Walk Under the Sun ("the app") is committed to protecting your privacy.

Data we use

The app reads selected data from Apple Health (HealthKit) and, when permitted, location data from your device. This may include:

Step count and walking/running distance
Time in Daylight and walking workout records
Body composition metrics (such as weight, body fat, BMI, and lean body mass)
Approximate location used to retrieve local weather and UV context

This data is used only to generate activity charts, sunlight insights, and weather-aware walking guidance in the app.

Where your data stays

Health data is processed on your device.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not require account signup to use core app features.

Location data

Location access is optional and used to fetch local weather and UV information relevant to your walk planning. You can disable location access at any time in iOS Settings.

Third parties

Weather and UV context may be retrieved from external data providers to power app features. We do not share your HealthKit records with third parties for sale.

Your choices

You control permissions in iOS at any time:

Health permissions: Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Walk Under the Sun
Location permissions: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Walk Under the Sun
